This is a grant from The Awesome Fund, dedicated solely to student clubs and organizations, and funded by a generous Hopkins alumnus, a matching donation from his employer, and the family & friends of Ethan Lang
Hopkins High School’s FIRST Robotics team is on a mission to build a truly great robot, enter the next level of competition, and chart a course for the future of Hopkins robotics. A Medtronic sponsorship helps, but falls short of the funds needed to access top shelf parts. With HEF’s Awesome Fund grant, The Technocrats will build a West Coast Drivetrain, enabling their robot to be light and agile, more reliable, and reduce the overall number of needed parts. The Technocrats want a chance to advance to State and/or World Championships, which unlocks access to millions of dollars in scholarships exclusive to FIRST participants. These STEM heroes are focused on building this team for future Hopkins students, as well as creating a complete engineering experience for themselves.
