HEF has activities throughout the school year to raise funds, connect with our community, and award grants.
To kick off the school year, we host an adults-only outdoor social event in downtown Hopkins. This fun evening features live music, food and beverages for purchase, and offers a great way to connect with other Hopkins parents after the long summer. Learn more.
Since our founding in 1995, HEF has awarded more than $3.4M in grants to the District for a wide range of projects submitted by teachers, staff members, and student leaders in the junior highs and the high school. We award grants each fall and spring, plus we fund a major special appeal each year associated with our Royal Bash.

Many families choose to thank their children’s teachers or other staff members during the winter holidays and at the end of the school year. Gratitude Gifts are a great way to contribute to HEF at the same time. In December and May of each school year, you can make a donation to HEF on a staff member’s behalf, and our staff and volunteers personally deliver your personal message along with a special treat.
