Google Apps Collaborative ‘Hive’

Google Hive grant presentation pictureTaking technology to the next level: collaborative Google Certified training for 30 Hopkins 7-12 teachers in the engaging, exciting, and creative uses of Hopkins Apps (Docs, Forms, Sites, YouTube). The focus will be on collaboration and individualized student learning, and will create a group of motivated teachers who will become leaders in digital content.

Google Hive grant recipient pictureThey will then promote broader uses and understanding of technology and best practices among their colleagues. This training will collect a network of teachers across the district and the Twin Cities.

Hopkins teachers and media specialists will be participating along with staff from Edina, The Blake School, Bloomington, and White Bear Lake. Subsequently, 30 K-6 Hopkins teachers will be trained by Hopkins staff in content-specific Apps for their classrooms.
