Distance-learning teens obsessed with YouTube have a difficult time engaging with teachers’ recorded lectures. This grant purchases home studio equipment for use in rotation by a cohort of social studies staff at NJH. Their goal is to create digital content more engaging than what can be produced on district-issued hardware, and to meet the individual needs of their students. As teachers create dynamic videos and lessons, their personalities will better shine through, increasing the likelihood of a positive relationship and connection with their students. When students return to in-person school, this equipment will be used in labs across the district for continued creation of interesting content.
