Grants are our most rewarding activity and the reason for our existence. Since 1995, HEF has awarded more than 663 grants totaling more than $3.8M.

Three Ways HEF Helps Hopkins

  • Spark Grants

    We rely on great proposals from Hopkins teachers and staff to enable us to make a difference in Hopkins Public Schools. And we want yours to be successful. Fill out an optional concept form by 1/17 and we can provide initial feedback before final applications are due 2/10.

    Special Projects

    HEF partners with the Hopkins Public Schools District to fund Special Projects, like 2021-2022 Pathways to a Healthy Future, 2013-2014 STEM: Partnering Through Excellence, 2010-2012 Unleashing the Power of iPad and 2003-2006 A Sound Investment. Our 2024 Grant, Fueling Future Minds, funds new computer science, coding, data analysis, and artificial intelligence (AI) learning opportunities.

    Awesome Fund

    The Awesome Fund provides modest grants to registered new or existing Student Clubs (with a faculty adviser). We aim to fund Student Clubs to pursue ideas/projects that help other students, enhance the community, or heighten students’ educational experience and their interest in school.
