Emily was hired as the Executive Director of the Hopkins Education Foundation in July 2023. She served on the HEF Board of Directors from 2014 through 2019, and was president of the board during that time. Emily worked as the Executive Director of the Seven Dreams Education Foundation that supports the Robbinsdale School District from 2019 through 2023. Emily and her husband raised their three children in Hopkins schools and she has been a passionate advocate for Hopkins schools and public education for decades. Emily served as a member and co-chair of the Hopkins Legislative Action Coalition. Emily has also served as a commissioner on three City of Hopkins commissions: Human Rights Commission, Charter Commission and Zoning & Planning Commission. Earlier in her career, Emily worked as an attorney and also volunteered as a pro bono attorney for clients at the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota.

Jana joined HEF in July 2020. Jana previously served as an area preschool director and teacher, and a part-time Learning Resource Teacher at Gatewood Elementary. She has a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University School of Education. Jana is passionate about education and has spent much of her career in early childhood and kindergarten classes, in addition to volunteering in all her children’s classrooms. She is excited to be back working in the Hopkins school community. She and her husband, Mark, are proud parents of five Hopkins graduates, now young adults, who still express gratitude for attending Hopkins schools. Jana lives in Minnetonka and enjoys spending time on the trails, around the lakes, and with family.

Ellie joined the Hopkins Education Foundation as Marketing Coordinator in October 2023. Ellie previously served as Communications Director for the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters, as Copyediting Supervisor for Target’s Weekly Ad and as Associate Editor for Greenspring Media’s custom publishing division. Ellie has a master’s degree in communication from the University of Oregon School of Journalism & Communication. Ellie previously volunteered on AZUL, the young professionals board at Minnesota Zoo, chairing their events and marketing committee. Ellie is a proud Hopkins Class of 1997 graduate. She attended Gatewood Elementary, West Junior High and Hopkins High School. Ellie lives in Bloomington with her husband, their three girls, and their red Labrador Retriever, Indy.

Jacqui joined HEF as Event Coordinator in August 2024. She has previously worked in human resources for HMC3, as well as in sales positions.

Jacqui has a master's degree in project management from Capella University. She has a passion for fundraising and is thrilled to combine her passion and degree to support Hopkins schools. Jacqui lives in Hopkins with her husband, two young children, and their pets.
